A Really life inspiring Quote by John Lennon

Posted on 09:43 by kumar
Hello Everyone!

I found this really awesome and inspirational quote:) Hope you like reading it as much as i do:) Its gives me hope in life that one day i'll be able to reach my own goals and realize my dreams, just like many other people in this world.

It's like a John Lennon qoute:

"When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy.’ They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life."

What I want to do When I Grow Up

Posted on 09:36 by kumar
Hello Everyone!

Too often in our childhood we are asked "what do you want to do when you grow up?" I still remember clearly the asnwer to the question "be a Model!" that's what i would always say. But when I got to 10th grade in High School my choice of career changed completely by saying "I want to Act!" the choice of career changed because of my deep interest for it. My choice of career hasn't changed at all, I still want to act and gain more experience and grow my craft more. Here is an article that i read today that i got on my e-mail. Its from this teen writing website called Teen Ink, the article really made me realize that having a career is not only to earn enough money to survive, but what mainly the article is telling us is that its better and more important to have a career that you love to do and mainly enough that you're happy doing it, and appreciating every growing experience from it.

In kindergarten, my class was asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Crayons danced across sheets of paper to illustrate our dream occupations. Our drawings were hung in the hallway for our

parents to see at Back to School Night. I remember looking down the line and seeing pictures of ballerinas dancing, firefighters putting out a blaze, and astronauts leaping across the moon – careers that were seen as typical dreams of five-year-olds.

My picture showed a stick figure with brown hair holding a carton of orange juice over a large rectangle that was supposed to be a counter. Underneath was my barely legible handwriting: “When I grow up, I want to work at the Market Basket because it would be fun to swipe orange juice across the scanner.” To this day my parents won’t let me forget that out of everything I could have aspired to be, my five-year-old self wished to work at the local grocery store.

When we are young, questions of what we want to be when we grow up are common. Yet we are not expected to respond with an answer that is likely to come true. However, when we become teens, we are asked the very same question twice as often. The difference is, now we are supposed to answer with confidence.

Teens are expected to know exactly what we want to be and how we are going to achieve that goal. Not all of us can be so sure. Even though I am in high school, I cannot answer convincingly. But I don’t consider that a bad thing. How am I supposed to know what I will want to spend my time doing at age 40?

When I think about the future, I definitely don’t see myself working at the Market Basket, but in reality, if that was what would make me happy, I would do it. So, the next time someone asks me what I want to be when I grow up, I will simply say “happy.”

Happiness is a destination for everyone. We may want to walk different paths in life, but we all want to be happy wherever we end up. Choose your path, but don’t worry too much about choosing wisely. Make a mistake or two and try new things. But always remember, if you’re not happy, you’re not at the end of your journey yet.

Reading this article really made me see truly how much I want to become an actress and a writer.

A Mohers Knowledge

Posted on 18:14 by kumar
Hello Eveyone!

A mother's knowledge is something that should be cherished and never let go. There are times though when we're young that we forget that a mother truly cares for us when they say "Don't wear this" or "Why do you do this" or "I don't want you hanging around with him because i don't like him or the way he looks." And we as teenagers tend to think that maybe our parents don't love us. But that's not true, our parents are like that because they are concerned about our safety and want us to do better in life.

There have been many times, especially when i told my parents that i want to act where they didn't and still don't agree on me becoming an actress because you have to have enough money saved in order to move to Hollywood, do and buy headshots, rent an aparment, and have transportation to o to auditons in order to get acting jobs. At first when my parents told me to just foget about acting and do anothe short career like teaching, or nursing. I was thinking "okay my parents don't want me to do what i always dreamed of doing because its so interesting and fun. They are forcing me to do something else that i do not want to do." But then later n i relaized that what my own mom was trying to tell me was to first look for a job so i can save enough money in order to be able to support myself while looking for acting jobs. Because seriousy doing auditions and looking for acting jobs takes time, months, even years until you get discovered or get an acting job in movies or television shows. I can't tell you its going to be easy but its possible 100% if you try your best and never give up.

I have read this acting book called Act Now that i got from the library and there's a part in the book where it says that many people are not going to believe you when you tell them that yu want to act. They're going to think that you're just playing around or say she's just going through a phase, she'll get over it and soon change her mind and not want to act again." Well certainly that's what my parents thought when i told them at fifteen that i really want to do that. And although my mom still insists on me becoming a teacher, i just lie to her and tell her that i am but deep inside i want to be an actress more than anything.

When you're a teenager its hard to live your own dreams, to make them come true when there are grownups or other people agaisnt your goals and dreams. Don't let those people tear your hopes and dreams away from you, have faith that someday the light of succeess that you've been dreaming of will one day come your way, one way or the other, sooner or later. Have patience and faith.

Stop Listening to Others and Listen to Yourself

Posted on 21:45 by kumar
Hello Everyone!

Sometimes people expect more of me for example my parents. I don't know but i feel that when you start turning 19 people expect more of you than what you can offer. Its unhealthy when grownups around you try to force you do something that you don't want to do. Its bad having to go through life doing something that you really don't like when on the outside you have to force a smile in order to please others.

So my new belief is Stop Pleasing Others and start living your own dreams! Because if you start listening and obeying to others later on you're going to regret it for the rest of your life.

The reason i decided to write this is because I have had times in my teen years and still do when my mom and step-dad do not agree and support my desicion on being an actress and its been hard for me to convince my parents that what i want to do is right. They think that acting for me is just not right for me because they have this belief that to be an actress you have to be takative, good- looking. But what they do not know is that I really want to be an actress because ever since I was fifteen years old i started to get an interest in that career, I do not want to be an actress to be famous and get the glamour treatment that Hollywood has to offer to all celebrities, and when i read about Lindsay Lohan getting in trouble with the law i feel sorry for her because Hollywood ruined her image and her self-worth. Of course it was also her fault because she's had many chances to improve and to change but it just seems that she doesn't care. I do not want to be like Lindsey Lohan whoonce used to be a successful actress and then ruins it with drinking, stealing, and partying to much. I want to be myself, I wan to portray other characters and live my dream. That is why i love to read books because that is the way that i can be a character and understand how they feel. Acting is about emotions and feelings.

Ulrik Munther's song "Life" is about living everyday to its fullest everyday, taking chances, and doing what you always dreamed of doing.

Ulrik Munther- Heroes in Defeat (Change Your Mind)

Posted on 11:12 by kumar
Hello Everyone!

"Heroes in Defeat (Change Your Mind)" by Ulrik Munther is a song that really captivated me because in his lyrics he sings about how many of us have heroes in our lives that we both admire alot. I know i do. But we never stop to think if we can ever find our dream and if we do can we be able to achieve it? His song really makes you think deeply about our own dreams and goals.

Ulrik Munther- Sticks and Stones

Posted on 11:01 by kumar
Hello Everyone!

Yesterday i spent the day listening to ulrik Munther's new album that was released on August 24, 2011. And to tell you the truth his album is amazing from beginning to end, there is no doubt!:) My most favorite song out of his album is "Sticks and Stones." The reason i love this song is because its inspirational and really makes me think how much all of us as humans we have our own dreams and goals that we want to accomplish in our own life, but where too afraid or there are barriers that are stopping us from realizing our dreams and goals. Listening to this song really makes me realize that i can too make my dreams come true and that i have to brake away from doing something that i really do not want to do. His song basically says if you want to do something in life that makes you happy then go for it! No matter what other people say about your dreams.

Lyrics of "Sticks and Stones" By Ulrik Munther

Eh eh
Yeah yeah
Oh oh oh

Verse
Just another day
Same in every way
Doing what i should do
What other people say

Bridge
I think it's time i take
Charge of my own faith
I know it's not too late, it's not too late, it's not too late

Eh Eh
Yeah yeah
Oh oh oh

Ref
Well you can break my bones
With sticks and stones
But you can't hold me down
I think it's time i break
The rules you make and make some of my own
I'm taking all your flaws
Your sticks and stones
Your sticks and stones...

Verse
Mistakes I have made
Cut me like a blade
But what really kills me
Is the madness i've obeyed
So to save my soul
I'm taking all they stole

Bridge
I'm breaking my parole, I'm letting go, i'm letting go yeah

Eh eh
Yeah yeah
Oh oh oh

Ref
Well you can break my bones
With sticks and stones
But you can't hold me down
I think it's time i break
The rules you make and make some of my own
I'm taking all your flaws
Your sticks and stones
Your sticks and stones...

My favorite t.v. Show "American Dreams"

Posted on 12:16 by kumar
Hello Everyone!

Love watching "American Dreams" it is a television series that started in 2002 and got cancelled in 2005 for i don't know what reason. I still don't like it that they had to cancel such great t.v. series. I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove everything about this series:)!

"Set to the soundtrack of the '60s, a Philadelphia family moves toward the cultural upheaval in the years ahead. The Pryors' teen daughter Meg tries to shed her "good girl" image by hanging with her worldly friend Roxanne and pursuing a dream of being an "American Bandstand" dancer. Meg's emerging personality, and the changes her mother's going through, don't sit well with Meg's father
From the thrill of dancing to the new Ronettes song to the life-changing assassination of a beloved President, American Dreams follows one family's journey through the joys and pains of America in the '60s and early '70s. At the epicenter of these earth-shattering times is Meg Pryor, a style-conscious 15-year-old whose life revolves around the popular dance show, American Bandstand. While Meg's younger brother and sister are concerned with simple pursuits, her older brother, JJ, is fighting to follow his dreams instead of his father's. And unbeknownst to the kids, their parents are struggling to define their own evolving relationship as partners, parents and people. Meanwhile, the world swirls around them - a vibrant combination of rock and roll, equal rights and soon, war. How will the changing times change this American family?
In this comedy-family-drama about the early 1960's, the Pryor family deals with racism, feminism, adolescence, rock and roll, and general family issues. The daughter, Meg Pryor, dances on the show of the era American Bandstand while learning about love thanks to her less mainstream boyfriend, Luke, and about acceptance with her interracial friendship with her father's employee's son Sam. Patty Pryor, the youngest daughter learns how to grow up in a time of political and social turmoil along with her disabled younger brother Will. The oldest son JJ learns about love with his tumultuous relationship with his wealthy girlfriend Beth. All this time a war rages on in Vietnam and a family struggles to stay together in this controversial era. "

What I love mostly about this show is that it mixes the popular culture of the 60s throught the early 70s with real life family problems throught the Pryor Familie's point of view. Plus the music of the sixties is awesome gives you a full appreciation of how beautiful music was back then just by watching American Bandstand and how history of Rock n' Roll evolved in the early 60s. This show won two Emmy awards.

You can see American dreams seasons 1,2, and 3 online at http://watchseries.eu/serie/american_dreams I am currently watching all of their episdoes because I never wtached this show when it first aired so since i discovered such great t.v. show on youtube while listening to oldies music i decided to give it a try. Now i don't regret finding out about this amazing show.
