My Fourth Poem: It's Sad To Belong in a Place

Posted on 11:55 by kumar
Hello Everyone!,

Here is my fourth poem:)!

It's sad to belong in a place
where no one likes you for who you truly are.
Where you're the only one crying out: "Help! Doesn't anyone hear me!?"
I feel empty inside with only worries gnawing my mind everyday
Everyday that passes by I see only my life full of shadows and darkness.

It's sad to belong in a place
Where you're different than the rest of the people around you
I want to disappear from this wretched world and not feel all the pain that is tormenting
my very own soul.
I hear voices all around me telling me i'm up to no good,
but I know that deep inside me there is a sweet and gentle voice that is telling me
to never give up.
A bright and cheerful voice that is telling me to stop being afraid
and you will forever see the light of hope and faith once more.

It's sad to belong in a place
Where you're shunned, treated, and stepped on as a slow and weak snail.
You feel fragile and small with no place to run to for cover
You only pray and hope to belong to a place.

Your Love Is Like A Flower

Posted on 11:14 by kumar
Hello Everyone!,

Another Poem that I wrote:)

Your love is like a flower
It's sweet scent brings me closer to you
Your petals are the strong soft arms that cover me warmly
in a cold winter night
Your eyes are like the stars in the sky that shine all over me
when i look up at them I never want to let go of your sweet loving eyes.

Your gentle words evaporate inside my heart
So majestic and true are your words
Like a rainbow appearing so suddenly after a gray rainy day
There you appeare to me with only love in your eyes.
Every flower welts, but only you stay forever beautiful inside and out
With each passing day I never forget of the beautiful flower that's inside you
Only looking at you makes my face turn from sadness to happiness once more

Your love is like a flower that will always stay with me forever.

My I Am Poem

Posted on 10:35 by kumar
Hello Everyone!,

Here is another poem that I wrote a long time ago but did not think of posting it in a blog or somewhere online but now i made up my mind to do it so here it is: hope you guys like it:)

I am cheerful and lovable
I wonder why there is so much hatred in this world.
I hear the crying of millions suffering
I see the sky turning dark as the winter night that envolopes
all around me filling me only with the coldness that surrounds the downtrodden.
I want to see a bright colorful image that can fill the sky with magic, fantasy, and wonder.
I want my days to be filled with adventure, happiness, and everlasting charm.

I am cheerful and lovable
I pretend to float way up in the clouds only in search of peace and hope
But I only feel empty and cold with every passing day that comes and goes
I touch the Iris flowers that once used to bloom, are now withered full of the sadness
that envolopes the suffering of millions.
I worry of the future ahead of me that only sinks me deeper with every struggle I go through
I cry the tears of sorrow, struggle, sadness, and anger that I hope only to forget
when life for me becomes beautiful once again.

I am cheerful and lovable
I understand what pain and suffering is, and feels, believe me for I have experienced
the trip through the dark tunnel that is hard to get out off
I say life may throw me sticks and stones but I will never shatter.
I dream of seeing a world full of joy and happiness where only love is abundant,
where only God and Angels exist
to guide
to love
to inspire
I try to swim myself out of the ocean of failure and oppression
but with every stroke I make the water pulls me harder into failure.
I hope for the dark sky to turn into a colorful, bright world were everyone can come together
with love and respect on their heart, mind, and soul.
I am cheerful and lovable.

My First Poem: A Troubled Teen

Posted on 18:07 by kumar
I am a troubled teen
looking for the answers to my troubled life.
Ever since death took my dear father away from my loving arms
Me and my familie's place is filled of freezing coldness
The words of my aunt pierce me to death
filling my whole soul empty and sad.

With you not alive I have no one to confide in
With no one to listen to me
With no one to comfort me with the words that only you would fill my heart with sunshine
and everlasting warmth.

I am a troubled teen
Just looking for someone to look up to
Someone in whom I can trust,
share the love with one another,
seek for help and guidance.
Others around me say I am no treasure,
they only want to lead me into the path of darkness.

I cry each night tears that only sink me deeper into a sea of depression
with no clear sence of direction
I float deeply down into the ocean on my way to meet my fate
I am a girl not knowing what will happen to me next but only hoping
and waiting for someone to pick me up and shower me with the warmth of positivity.

I am just a troubled teen
Looking for the answers to my troubled life
So if you're the one, I'll be waiting for you.

My Book of the Week: "The Forbidden Sea" by Sheila A. Nielsen

Posted on 11:27 by kumar
Hello Everyone!,

It's me once again with another week full of school homework, classes, notes, reading, and a busy week ahead, no doubt about that! But today I want to write about one of my most favorite topics and that is writing about my favorite book:) Each week I will post a blog entry in my website about any favorite book that I have read in the past or that I am currently reading right now. And so will start off this week by writing about a novel that by far has started to become one of my top favorites this Summer, it's called "Forbidden Sea" by Sheila A. Neilson. The first time i got the book I didn't even bother reading it because I thought, "okay is this book gonna be great yes or no." So i didn't even bother to read it for about a month or a few weeks i'm not sure because I don't remember, but oh well. Finnally after much thinking as to wether i was going to ignore reading the novel , i gave in and filled with couriosity i started reading it and as i continued reading the novel I soon realized that the story was deeply emotional tale that was full of heartache and redemption. "The Forbidden Sea" tells the fictional story of fourteen year old Adrianne Keynmman and her younger sister Cecily as one stormy night a mermaid comes to take Adrianne's sister, Cecily down into the depths of the deep blue sea, Adrianne knows she must fight with every ounce of her strength to protect her younger sister from the mermaid's clutches. But on land Adrianne faces other problems such as trying to find a way to support her mother, sister, and aunt after a tragic accident stole her father's life. Now life takes a strange and frightening turn as Adrianne's dreams are filled with the mermaid's singing.
Adrianne soon realizes that it is not Cecily the mermaid wants but her, Adrianne wonders how she can protect her family from their supersticious island community as the mermaid attemps to lure her into the sea, night and day.
A girl born on land must choose between the promise of an underwater paradise and the loyalty of those she loves.
I personally love reading this novel because I can deeply relate to Adrianne, she is like every teenage girl, full of hopes, dreams, desires, and holds a secret love feeling for Denn Young who have both been friends ever since they were both children. Sheila did an awesome job linking real life with fantasy. I can also guarantee that you will cry in while reading this novel because there are some chapters in the book where Adrianne is faced with hatred among her neighborhood when everyone finds out that she and her sister went to the Lord Graham's Royal Wedding and went to see a fortune teller, that is where the fortune teller tells Adrianne of the curse put on her the legendary Mermaid of Windwaithe. It was bad because at that point everyone heard the fortune tellers scream when she found out of the dark mark that was put on Adrianne by the Windwaithe Mermaid, so nobody wanted to associate with her and her family because everyone on Windwaithe island thought she was doing some evil thing associated with the devil. Another really sad part of the story that really made me cry because of the deep conncetion I felt for her, was when her aunt Minnah sent her to the city to get more yarn and so then Denn goes to her house and suggests that he go to buy the yarn himself because he was headed that way also, but Adrianne wanted to go so they both agree to go together. When they both arrive at the city to buy the yarn Denn tells Adrianne that he will buy the yarn himself and that she should stay to rest and eat the food that her mom gave her for the trip. So Adrianne obeys Denn's suggestion. While she stays waiting for Denn to come back with the yarn she sees Cora Lynn Dunst, (the most preetiest girl in Windwaithe Island and whom Denn has a crush on) with a loaf of bread in her hands. But while Cora passes by she also notices some sea drifters coming to Cora Lynn, Sea Drifters in the story are people who are really poor and don't have a place to live, so they drift from place to to place trying to find someone who can help them and they're family. The mother and her two starving daughters came close to Cora Lynn because they knew that she was rich and beautiful and because they saw the loaf of bread in her hand they came closer to her begging her to give them some her bread because they were starving. I was so disgusted by Cora Lynn because how could someone so beautiful full of things anyone can wish for be so selfish. She would not give some of her bread to the poor sea drifters who were starving to death. Adrianne was soo full of hatred for her because she could not understand why Denn could hold such loving and affections for someone that is soo beautiful on the outside yet on the inside they are not.
There are some points in the story where Denn does not truly see how beautiful Adrianne really is, making her think that a men so handsome such as Denn will never get to see her as a beautiful lady such as Cora Lynn. Adrianne would also hide her true feelings for Denn Young, making it more confusing for him to truly know why there were times when Adrianne felt uncomfortable whenever she saw him with Cora Lynn.
Anybody who loves a story full of fantasy, love, and real life should read this novel, seriously once you begin reading it you will not want to put the book down!:D Sometimes I wonder if they'll ever do a movie based on the novel, i hope they do because who wouldn't want to do a movie about mermaids, love, hatred, heartaches, family problems, and fantasy?

Here is the book's cover art, wich i found really beautiful it shows the picture of the Windwaithe Mermaid.

Here is a picture of the author Sheila A. Nielson, writer of "The Forbidden Sea."

Here are some drawings by the author of the main characters of her novel "The Forbidden Sea." I personally love her drawings they're really awesome and creative:)

The Mystery of Mermaids Uncovered!

Posted on 11:17 by kumar
Hello Everyone!,

Well this is going to be my first blog post so I decided to write about a topic that has been fascinating me ever since I could remember and that is Mermaids! Yes! Mermaids!:) I love Mermaids! Like everyone I used to think that they are not real that they are just fictatious creatures that only existed in legends, myths, and fairy-tales such as Hans Christian Anderson's fairytale story of "The Little Mermaid." I was still courious to know if mermaids really could in fact exist becuase as we all know mermaids are widely known as half human and half fish. A few months ago i found a video on Youtube about this women that has always held a deep fascination and interest in mermaids ever since she was three years old so she told her parents that she wanted to be a mermaid and from then on she has been rigorously swimming deeply underwater withouth no water tank or scubba diving equipment, i was really amazed and shocked at how someone can swim underwater for long periods of time without losing air. She is not a real mermaid but she actually does act like one. She also dresses like a real mermaid with her own hand-made mermaid fish tails and mermaid styled bras. Here is a video of Hanna the real human mermaid, she was in the ABC television show 20/20: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wmTuTqZOHY. Yesterday I read an article that I found on Google and it's about a men named Jeff Leicher that found a real life mermaid that he found in Kiwai, Hawaii while he was taking pictures of fish with his underwater camera. Here is the link to the article that I read certainly got me thinking "maybe mermaids do exist after all." http://www.jacksdivinglocker.com/new/mermaid.htm the article also has some real pictures that he took of the mermaid he and his crew discovered. Really amazing:) Here is another link of another video i found on youtube.com and it's about a guy that took two sea underwater videos on his underwater sea camera about two mermaids he found. This evidence video is truly not fake as you can clearly see it is not somewhere he took from a movie as he explains in the video. Find out more by watching this video and find out for yourself if mermaids are real yes or no. http://youtu.be/lNb0K_KVpJk
Do You believe in Mermaids? Tell me what you think in the comments section.
